PF transfer
PF transfer is most tedious and painful process. Transfer involves two government offices (RPFC’s) and your current and previous organization. Typically employee will apply for Transfer by filling form 13 while joins new company and forgot about it. If you query about after six month to HR, you will get answer, we submitted the application to RPFC and we don’t have further control or HR may not submitted the form 13 to current RPFC.
Once you submit your Form 13 to HR, HR need to Submit to Current RPFC (Regional Provident Fund office). From Current RPFC, it will fwd to your previous RPFC then it will go to your previous organization. Your previous employer verifies the details like your contribution and company’s contribution. Then again it will fwd to your previous RPFC and where they will prepare cheque and Annexure K and fwd it current RPFC. Note here that every RPFC needs to send Annexure K to member for transfer. Once current RPFC receives them, it will be credited to employee/member account. But this will reflected in PF statement of member/employee in next financial year settlement. For ex if your transfer has been received on July 2012, then it will reflect on 20012-13 statement.

This all process at least takes 1-1.5 years. Thanks to all the government office and their work.

Common problems:
1. Form 13 was not submitted by HR to Current RPFC
2. Form 13 was misplaced by current /previous RPFC
3. Your establishment code may be wrong while transferring. This was happened in my case. My Current Organization/establishment code is 35385/00**** and transfer was made to 35383/00****.Typical clerical mistake by RPFC
4. Your Organization/establishment code is correct and but account number is wrong.
5. Cheque is not received in current PF office or Cheque went to wrong address.
6. If you visit PF office for issue is transfer, first thing they need is Annexure K for transfer.
7. You can't resolve the issue, by calling to RPFC office.

Solution:

1. Never ever trust your HR for PF transfer. Do it on your own, it will require some time and patience, but you will know your transfer status accurately. Fill the form 13, get it signed and seal by your HR and submit to RPFC.
2. As a best practice keep copy of form 13. You may need that in future.
3. Enquiry in your previous organization for PF transfer.
4. If you have cheque details like date ,amount and numbers ,enquiry about same in RPFC
5. If you have got Annexure K with correct details, visit RPFC and submit to RPFC and ask them to credit to your account.
6. If you don’t have Annexure K, raise RTI (Right to Information Act 2005) for it. Generally you will get replay in 45 days.
7. On 10th of every month Lok Adalat happens on all RPFC. You need to submit application for the same before 2nd /3rd of month. PF commissioner /Central information officer will resolve you issues with 2-3 hearings.

I had applied transfer in August 2008 and transfer was done to wrong account in Sept 2009.

I used both RTI 2005 and Lok Adalat platforms to resolve my PF transfer issues.

Kodaikanal to Munnar Trek

Tamilnadu Youth Hostel organized state level trek from Kodaikanal to Munnar for five days in this winter (2011).Trek was around 40-55 Kilometers for four days and last day was planned for Munnar Sightseeing. Ours was second batch in the trek and consisting of 21 people across the different part of India.
Kodaikanal sits on a plateau above the southern escarpment of the upper Palni Hills at 2,133 metres (6,998 ft), between the Parappar and Gundar Valleys. These hills form the eastward spur of the Western Ghats on the Western side of South India. The whole cluster of hills is spread over many kilometers in Western Ghats. The craggy wilderness around this route is a Trekker’s delight. Considered as the Princess of Hill stations (Kodia) this amazing trek route has plenty of opportunities for the amateurs and professionals alike. Climbs of various grades along with few bolted routes are also present. There are various temples present in routes. The trek was packed with lots of fun events.
Day one was reporting to base camp in Kodaikanal. We spent time in exploring the places around kodaikanal. On 27th Dec 2011, Day2 it was time for our batch of 21 members to march forward and trek to the heart of the jungle. Trek was around 15 KM passing through dense Vallakovi forest. Our camp was other side of Vallakovi village. On day 3, we started around 10 am and trekked around 10 km to reach Kumbkapai village. These two days, we climb down from Kodai via Vallakovi forest. From this point we reached kurangini base camp through vehicle for 60 KM. On fourth day, our destination was Central top through forest tribal for around 9 KM. On fifth day, we trekked around 7 KM to reach top station which famous tourist spot in Munnar crossing Tamilunadu and Kerala boarder. Last two days we climbed the Kurangini hills to reach Top Station. We travelled from TOP station to Munnar in vehicle, enjoying the scenic beauty of Munnar.

In the entire camp, from dawn to dusk, we walked and walked, sometimes passing through lovely palm groves, coffee plantations & sometimes through sun kissed waterways. The Sun branded us with a tan seal of approval and made some of us go pink and brown while others dark brown. The forest experience was truly enchanting. The forests were really dense. And so the atmosphere was dark and clammy. The rugged beauty of the Western Ghats totally took my breath away! We had to reach the tip of the mountain, which was at times very steep and very difficult to climb. We had to halt very frequently to control our fatigue. We enjoyed a lot during camp fires in each camp site.
I can’t forget, Rasam in lunch/dinner, tamil translater Gopal,Tharani, Antaksharis, especially with Makarand’s ,Preeti’s Singing, our musicians Bhavin, mehul & co ,Playing UNO with Dharmesh, Shanks, Ravi and Raghu and, finally Aunty from Kolkotta and her nonstop speeches.
We cherish each and every moment of trek and special thanks for Youth hostel Association of India and Tamilnadu state branch for organizing wonderful event.

OffSite for FILI

RAM NAGAR

CLIMBER’S DELIGHT

It is well said that "Teamwork is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results". Exemplifying this, the different process teams working for FILI Business portrayed the FMR FILI as One team. The FMR FILI team went to an Adventure Offsite to Ram Nagar which is 40Kms from Bangalore City on the Mysore - Bangalore Highway on August 9, 2007.
The craggy wilderness around Ram Nagar is a climber's delight. Considered as the Mecca of Rock Climbers, this amazing place has plenty of opportunities for the amateurs and professionals alike. Climbs of various grades along with few bolted routes are also present. There are temples present at the top of a few hillocks. Ram Nagar has the shooting of the "Sholay" Film to its credit as well.

The whole cluster of hills is spread over many kilometers, with a moderate town adjacent to the Bangalore-Mysore Highway. As you enter the town you will find many rocky hills on the both sides of the road.


The offsite was packed with lots of fun events like Green Trek (in reserve forests), Rock Climbing/ Bouldering, Rappelling from a breathtaking 125 ft. vertical rock face, High Rope Traverse, Walk to Sunset View Point, Tug of War, Dodgeball, Bonfire with music etc. Each event was successful and exciting in its own way. Since all the associates in the team participated with loads of energy; the enjoyment was bound to be high. This offsite helped associates to know each other well and work as one team. The team will look forward to such offsites in the future. A special thanks to Satya Prakash Ranjan, Bhavani Prasad Deshmukh, Pankaj Tiwari, Sitaram Alla and other associates who had put in a lot of effort to make this a wonderful event
